Nurturing Parenting: Community-Based Education

Additional Information: A series of 10 enrichment classes for parents/caregivers who would like to increase their parenting knowledge and skills to make informed, healthy parenting choices. Offered on a rolling basis: join anytime and attend any/all of the classes! Can be attended virtually or in-person (if enough interest). Additional Information: For parents and caregivers who are in recovery and want to learn more about the effects of substance use on their family, parenting style, and their relationship with their child. Learning happens in a safe, supportive environment with others who share similar life experiences. A year-round course with open enrollment--come when you're able. Registration is helpful but not required. Class is held at Coastal Recovery Community Center, 11 White St., Rockland, ME every Monday except holidays & 9/23/24. Additional Information: All are welcome to come out for our playgroup's July get-together at Walker Park in Rockport. Snacks provided! There's great playground equipment for the 0-5 crowd, shady spots, and seating. Great location for picnicking. Not fenced in. Located on Sea St. in Rockport, it will come up accurately in Maps when entering "Walker Park Rockport." Rain date is Monday, July 29th. Check our Facebook page, Healthy Kids Maine, for updates.
